Book Blogger Insider Tag!

Hello, hello! I’ve been tagged! Thank you, Sophie @Blame it on the Chocolate for tagging me!

Now, let me show you all some of my bookish secrets! On to the tag!

Rules:
1. Answer the questions below
2. Credit the creator Jamie @ALittleSliceofJamie
3. Tag at least 5 people
4. Have fun!

Where do you typically write your blog posts?

On my bed. On my laptop. As I am right now.

How long does it generally take you to write a book review?

This depends on the book. Sometimes my thoughts flow out of me and I’ll be done in a half hour. Other times it will take me literally forever. And by forever I mean like an hour or an hour and a half.

When did you start your book blog?

I started my blog on November 1, 2016.

What is the worst thing about having a book blog in your opinion?

Honestly, keeping a schedule. Also, always feeling like I have to post something and post it quick. When I first started doing this I felt like I had to post nonstop or the world would forget I existed. Obviously, I was a bit dramatic, but you still do have to post fairly regularly which can get hard to do when homework and responsibilities are also taking your time.

What is the best thing about having a book blog in your opinion?

Getting to know all of you! Having people with whom to fangirl and share my opinions. I love talking about books but sadly, not very many people in my real everyday life are as excited about YA novels as I am. So, thank you all for going along with me on this journey!

What blog post have you had the most fun writing so far?

Good question. I enjoy all of my posts, if I didn’t, I wouldn’t post them. Looking back, I can’t really choose one that I’ve liked more than the others. I had a lot of fun with The Zombie Apocalypse Tag, and my Everything, Everything movie review because it was the first movie I reviewed on my blog.

What is your favorite type of blog post to write?

I love doing book tags. I think they might be my favorite thing to write. But, I have to admit, I do love a good old fashion book review. I love reading something and being able to put all my opinions on the page. My favorite reviews are for books I love, admittedly, I also love reviewing books I hate. There is something strangely cathartic about that.

When do you typically write?

Usually late at night when I should be sleeping. My brain works better after midnight which usually gets me into trouble. I also write a lot when I’m supposed to be doing homework as a way of distracting myself. Basically, I write at seriously inopportune times and when I should be doing a lot of other more important things. you could say that my priorities are a bit skewed.

Do you review every book you read?

There have been a couple of books that have gone without a review but for the most part yes, I do try to review every book I read.

How do you write your book reviews? With a cup of coffee or tea? With Netflix? Cuddled with your fur baby?

I usually write reviews in silence or some light music in the background. All other posts, I usually write while watching something on Nexflix. I don’t drink or eat while typing, I get too distracted and it’s like my mind can’t multitask when there is food. I either completely forget about the food/drink, or I completely forget about my post.

When do you write your book reviews? Right after finishing the book? Two weeks after finishing the book?

Again, this depends on the book. I’ll always start the review right after finishing the book. The review always ends up halfway done or something as I try to settle my thoughts and really find out how I feel about what I just read. A few hours later, or even maybe a day later, after I’m 100% settled on my opinions I’ll go back and finish it or change it as needed.

How often do you post?

Well, that really depends on the week. Sometimes I go for two consecutive weeks in which I post every single day. Other times I will only have one post in a week, but that is a seriously extreme case. Most times I post at least three times a week and at least one of those post is usually always a review.

So…Who do I tag?

Some old friends…some new…some in between

Emily @Wicked Good Reads || YA Wonderlust || Emma @Emma Reads Too Much || Angelica @Dreaming of Fiction || The Orangutang Librarian || Bri’s Book Nook

And anyone else who would like to do this!

  1. Yeah different reviews take different amounts of time I find. Ah yes I so relate to finding people online who love YA! It’s great! hehe yeah negative reviews are strangely cathartic. And yeah I wait for my views to settle before reviewing! Thank you so much for tagging me!

  2. Super cool post, Angelica! ❤ I'm glad you decided to do it because I loved reading your answers 🙂
It's interesting how most people write at night rather than in the morning, like me hahaha I do love writing at night when it's something more creative like fiction but not for the blog.
How funny that Netflix doesn't distract you but food does? Hell's yeah, sister! xD Same here, to be honest… ^_^'
