7 Facts About Me

I am the eldest child in my family. Also, the eldest grandchild. This led me to be a bit of a spoiled little girl when I was a child. Not anymore though. I have two siblings and too many cousins for that now.

I did not become a reader until I was in middle school. Before that, I hated reading. Like, with a passion.

I used to do theater in high school. I loved being in the plays but I couldn’t sing so I was never in any musical. Well, that’s not true. I was in one. But I had a nonsigning/ nondancing role.

I almost failed the 6th grade. I did the second part of my 6th grade back in the Dominican Republic, after having lived in the U.S. for a while. So when I went back I almost failed Spanish because my written grammar was horrible, also, I didn’t know Dominican history. It was terrible. But hey, I did say almost. I didn’t actually fail, though. I’ve been an honor student ever since!

I’ve owned Princess Academy by Shannon Hale for ten years and have never read it. In case you were wondering, I am currently 20 years old, and I got the book when I was 10. This is my greatest bookish shame.

I know how to sew, knit, crochet, cross stitch, and needlepoint. Because, you know, I’m a sophisticated lady and whatnot.

I like learning different arts and crafts (see the previous fact) just for the sake of learning them. I buy materials, become committed, and once I’ve created something semi-decent with it I move on to a new craft. I think I might try candle making soon. We’ll see.

  1. Thanks so much for the tag!! I’ve done this once or twice before but I’ll just have to come up with a few more facts (I’m running out!! I’m not that interesting!!). It’s so cool that you can do all that knitting / crocheting / sewing etc, I’m too impatient for that lol ❤

    1. I felt the same way about not knowing facts as I just did a fact post not too long ago. When we people ask me about myself my mind goes blank. Like what do I even do with my life?? And impatience is why I always change crafts. Once I’ve sort of mastered it I run out of patience for it lol. Anyway, I look forward to seeing your facts!

  2. I thought my book shame was bad with a book for fiveish years, but hopefully when you finally get to it, it’s as amazing as you always hoped and dreamed? maybe? But I used to do that too as a kid when I jump from craft to craft, but I think it’s soo cool that you end up knowing all of that stuff. You would make a very good Victorian lady? XD I also find it super cool that you went from hating reading to loving it. Your facts were so much fun to read, Angelica, and thank you so much for the tag! 😀 Fantastic post! 🙂

    1. Every year I tell myself that I’ll read Princess Academy and never do. This might be the year. Maybe. And my friend always tell me about the Victorian thing lol. I like them as hobbies but I don’t know if I would be able to do it for real every single day. One f my biggest bookish regrets is that I didn’t love to read sooner! There were so many books I would have loved as a kid, like Princess Academy, and now I wouldn’t have this problem! Anyway, I’m getting off topic. Thanks you so much! I look forward to knowing more about you!

  3. Thank you for your nomination! Seriously, book blogging community is so kind! Of course, I won’t mention some individuals that happen to exist in every kind of society, but these ppl should never destroy the initial family feeling the book blogging community has! So thank you again!
Will do the reward within this week, since I’m still on my short break from brainstorming on new content due to health issues~
