A Christmas Book Tag

We are late with this tag, we know! But hey, better late than never that is we always say. We are all just going to pretend that it is still Christmas and that everything is fine. Ok? Here we go!

We were tagged by the very lovely, Brookie Cowles, to do this and so here we are! To check out her post for this tag go HERE

  1. A fictional family you would like to spend Christmas dinner with.

15749186.jpgBrookie chose this answer but we can’t not choose it also. Just imagine all the wonderful Christmas baking that would be going on in that house. They make up such a cute family, we absolutely love it!

  1. A bookish item would like to receive as a gift.

Angelica says Riptide from Percy Jackson. What can be cooler than a magical pen/sword!

Rosie says Kell’s jacket from A Darker Shade of Magic. It’s basically a closet worth of jackets wrapped up I one. What is not to love!

  1. A fictional character you think would make the perfect Christmas elf?

27840861Angelica says Kaz Brekker, just because he would hate every moment of it and probably scare little kids.

Rosie thinks Angelica is crazy, but hey, who wouldn’t pay to see Brekker in an elf costume?

13206828.jpgRosie says Cress. She is already short in stature and super cute. She’s also so nice and would probably love to do it. Or Winter. The two of them would have so much fun.

  1. Match a book to its perfect Christmas song.

28588345Angelica says nothing. Mostly cause Angelica sucks and can’t think of any Christmas songs. Angelica is sorry.

Rosie says Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and The Young Elites Trilogy. Strange, I know, but hear me out. Adelina is a red nosed reindeer. She is an outcast, she is hated, no one wants her. Even her friends kick her out. Then things start going down and suddenly everyone wants Adelina on their side. Suddenly, she is important and whatnot. In the end, much like Rudolph, she goes down in history.

Angelica says that is farfetched and does not buy it.

Rosie reminds her that she didn’t even choose a song.

Angelica says nothing.

End of story. Moving on.

  1. Bah Humbug – a book or fictional character you’ve been disappointed in and should be put on the Naughty list.

17927395.jpgAngelica says Tamlin from A Court of Mist and Fury. Admittedly, I never liked Tamlin to begin with but in book two has reached a whole new level of horrible. I kinda just want him to be killed off at this point.

Rosie says Cassie from The Last Star. She was such a badass once. She was strong and determined and her narrative was amazing. I don’t know what happened.

  1. A book or fictional character you think deserves more love and appreciation and deserves to be put on the Nice list.

23395680Angelica says A.I.D.A.N. from Illuminae. Sure, he’s a rogue A.I. system who turned on his captain but hey, he did alright at the end. You gotta show the poor guy a little love.

27840861Rosie says Kaz Brekker from Crooked Kingdom. Yes, he’s bad, cruel, violent, and a lot of other things, but deep down (like really deep in there) he has a heart. The guy just needs a hug, or, you know, like an air high five cause he would probably try to kill you if you hug him.

  1. Red, green and gold: a book cover that has a wonderfully Christmas feel to it.

22544764Angelica says Uprooted by Naomi Novak. I don’t know why, but it just makes me think holiday thoughts. Or Cress by Marissa Meyer. That too is very Christmas like.

Rosie says Rumors and Envy by Anna Goldbersen. Admittedly, I haven’t read these, I got them at a library book sale for like a dollar each and I’m obsessed with the covers. But just look at those dresses! They look like they are going to a Christmas ball.

  1. A book or series you love so much that you want everyone to find it under their Christmas tree this year so they can read and love it too.

Crooked Kingdom. Just read it! Drop everything and go do it! Best book of the year for both of us.27840861

It’s probably too late to tag people for Christmas but if you don’t mind being late, by all means, consider yourself tagged!
